Professional

info

My profession is the great love and passion of my life. Since childhood I have always been drawing and that is why after High School I entered the Baltic International Academy, where I got my Bachelor's degree in computer design. After graduation, while I was working in an advertisement agency, I continued my studies, only now - in different courses. That way I learned the basics of photography, InDesign. Even now I am still learning something new every day by self-studies. I’m still learning something new in my favourite programmes like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and occasionally I turn to programmes which I don’t know so well yet, but which I want to master, e. g. Adobe Lightroom, After effects, Premier, etc. At this point my professional goal is to study illustration at a very good school - KHIO, in Oslo. To achieve it, every day I am learning the language and drawing. I continue to develop my own style. My worst feature is the workaholism, I can work day and night, not getting enough sleep, drinking too much coffee and energy drinks, even though know – I am doing harm to my health.
I am positive and open, I believe that the key to a successful result is communication – the ability to get on with the customer, to listen to their ideas and desires, readiness to reach a compromise. I can take healthy criticism and turn it into a customer satisfactory result, however, at the same time I believe that I am a professional and I am able to give advice to the customer. Although my profession is both my work and hobby at the same time, I’m still interested in the world around me, I have my point of view and my own opinion about different things that in a way also helps in my professional work. I think that designers are different from artists. They possess a slightly more rational approach to things and therefore I am always proud to say – I am a designer.

Fashion Boutique Melleus, art director

5.2013 - 5.2018 (Freelance)

Various artists may create or develop specific parts of an art piece or scene, but it is the charge of a sole art director to supervise and unify the vision. The art director is in charge of the overall visual appearance and how it communicates visually, stimulates moods, contrasts features, and psychologically appeals to a target audience. The art director makes decisions about visual elements used, what artistic style to use, and when to use motion.

One of the most difficult problems that art directors face is to translate desired moods, messages, concepts, and underdeveloped ideas into imagery. During the brainstorming process, art director  is engaged in imagining what the finished piece or scene might look like. At times, an art director is ultimately responsible for solidifying the vision of the collective imagination while resolving conflicting agenda and inconsistencies between the various individual inputs.

I am very proud of the fact that I was the person who had given the chance to do this jobb and that my style and designer talent is evaluated as I create and control  on that beautiful company's artistic part.

"Graphic design is the art of visualizing ideas,"

says Jessica Helfand, award-winning graphic designer and author.

All of the visual images surrounding us from advertising billboards to grocery receipts and junk mail begin with graphic design. More than just artists, graphic designers combine complex problem solving with the ability to bring ideas to life.

My first job, that gave me the ability to create graphic design outside my own country.Work was about all promotional materials that I loved to create so much, because in each of them I  shoud put my favorite time of the year - the winter.

"Graphic designers wear many hats" according to graphic designer Bruce Fenske.

One of the most important job functions of a designer is asking the client good questions, listening to their answers and then bringing their vision to life. Solving design problems involves more than just "designing graphics." Strong customer advocacy---the ability to stay true to the brand and the client's vision is essential to the job.
Work very closely and in good touch with the customer. Thanks to this comunication together we made the great results.

Base Baltic, graphic designer

"Generating ideas to solve problems presented by a client" is another important job function of the graphic designer. Sometimes clients don't have a clear vision of what they want or need. The designer must come up with ideas that solve the design problem and please the client.

Work in this big, white advertising agency was the dream of every one young graphic designer.

Esplanade, graphic designer

Out Loud, graphic designer, trainee

5.2010 - 12.2010

Designers are a link between the client and the audience. Graphic designers learn how to construct a message and how to present it successfully. They work with the client to understand the content and purpose of the message.

In this Communications Agency I was just a trainee, but I think that it made a great impression on me as the designer, provided plenty of knowledge of the real work environment and affected my personal style.
